Change of Charitable Status
Change of Charitable Status
Saltoun Community Association is now a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and came into existence in September 2021. It replaced the former SCA charity which dated back to the 1950s but which had an out-of-date ownership and governance structure. All the property and financial assets of the former SCA charity were transferred to the SCIO during 2022. The former SCA was removed from the Scottish Charity Register in December 2022.
Register as a Member of SCA SCIO
We invite those who live or work in Saltoun Parish to become a member of the new charity which is managing the Fletcher Hall in East Saltoun.
Why register as a member?
- it won’t cost you anything
- you will enjoy a discounted rate for hire of the facilities
- you don’t need to get involved in doing any work, unless wishing to volunteer help
- you will be better informed about events and news concerning the community
- you will be able to have your say about what is happening in the community, including the redevelopment of Fletcher Hall
- higher membership numbers will greatly improve our chances of attracting financial support and grants from funding bodies for the Hall redevelopment costs.
How to apply?
- download the attached application form OR
- pick up a paper copy from inside the (former) telephone kiosk in East Saltoun
Then:
- return the completed form as directed on the form
